I often hear people say they have “tried everything” and nothing works. They eat “clean” and exercise, take multivitamins, drink protein shakes and yet they are unable to lose weight or at least lose enough to reach their goals. The question is: what exactly contributes to obesity or being overweight? So more importantly, we should ask ourselves, what are the other factors that could be contributing. Knowing what is effective for you is understanding what is uniquely contributing to your weight gain. Is it too many calories, not enough activity, hormone imbalance, food allergies/sensitivities or something else?

To answer this question, start by having a conversation with your doctor or possibly a practitioner that specializes in weight loss or weight management. They can guide you in the right direction and get to the root cause. Whatever the reason is for your weight gain or inability to lose weight, it all boils down to behavior changes and consistency.
